Jesse Davis
Born in 1965, Jesse Davis is a renowned alto saxophonist from New Orleans and a former student of Ellis Marsalis. He has collaborated with jazz greats like Jack McDuff, Kenny Barron, Roy Hargrove, and Nicholas Payton, and toured with Phil Woods and others in Sax Machine. Originally aspiring to be a football player, Davis turned to music after an injury and pursued formal education at prestigious institutions, earning accolades like the Most Outstanding Musician award at the Down Beat Music Festival in 1989. He also acted in the film Kansas City by Robert Altman.
Paul Kirby
Born in 1981 in Edinburgh, Paul Kirby is a versatile pianist, composer, and arranger with a broad international career. He has performed with jazz icons such as Herb Geller, Jesse Davis, and Eric Alexander, and released his debut album If Not Now in 2015. A professor of piano in South Korea, Kirby studied under Stanley Cowell and Kenny Werner in New York. His work spans jazz and classical music, earning critical acclaim for his refined and dynamic playing.
Martin Zenker
Born in 1970 in Munich, Martin Zenker has been a sought-after bassist since 1987, performing with legends like Jimmy Cobb and Barbara Morrison. He served as Professor of Bass and Jazz History in Seoul and is now the head of the jazz department at the Goethe Music School in Mongolia. His international career reflects his dedication to both performance and jazz education.
Minchan Kim
Born in 1986 in Seoul, Minchan Kim is one of South Korea’s most in-demand drummers. Transitioning from piano to drums at age 12, he studied jazz at Kyung-Hee University and has performed globally, including at major jazz festivals and renowned venues like Ronnie Scott’s in London. Recognized as Korea’s Rising Star Drummer in 2012, Kim has worked with top international musicians, including Jesse Davis and Paul Kirby.
