Darius Clynes
Darius Clynes has composed and perfomed since 1967 in various styles. Starting as a classically trained pianist, he experimented with electronic music in the 60s and 70s. Early experiments with computer music yielded the computer synthesized singing voice piece called I Am Not a Computer 1976 realized at Columbia University. As a pianist and on an instrument called the amplified table clavichord he has frequently played on the streets, in restaurants, and small cafes. As a founder of the Darius Clynes Quartet his compositions have been performed in Brussels cafes like L’Archiduc in Belgium.
