Manuel Dunkel (1971) comes from the city of Vantaa, Finland. Since the mid-nineties he has become one of the most important voices in the Finnish jazz scene. In 2006 he was nominated for the ‘Django d’Or’. In 2007 he won the Sabam Prize for composition with the piece ‘Tritone Song’ (on ‘Cadences’), and again in 2018 with the composition ‘The One Step’. The repertoire will consist of originals by Manuel and Peter, Jazz compositions with a modern, open sound that give rise to exciting improvisations.
