Emilie and The Movers

The authentic, understated style of singer-songwriter Emilie Mover from Toronto and New York City, daughter of renowned saxophonist Bob Mover, has earned her an international fan base and appearances in several films, TV shows and commercials.
She released more than 7 studio albums. Her latest album, Night Owl, is a collection of 12 classics in a variety of genres, showing a diverse and great understanding of melody in perfect harmony with the lyrics.
Her approach to songwriting, seamlessly blending the depth of jazz’s harmonic complexity with the simplicity of folk and classic country, reveals a thorough and innovative understanding of the 20th century American songbook, and her live show has been hailed by critics as  » an exercise » in writing songs that sweetly conquer the listener with equal doses of absurdity, depth and self-effacing humor.
Her father, Bob Mover was a regular at l’Archiduc.
L’Archiduc is very proud to welcome his daughter this weekend.
She will certainly feel her dad’s hand when it will lay on his shoulder. Because L’Archiduc always preserves the souls of the musicians who felt at home there.
Arno confirm it to me yesterday.
