After winning the prestigious International Massimo Urbani Award competition, Federico recorded his debut album as a leader, titled Right Now, produced by the historic Italian record label Philology Records, which has featured artists such as Phil Woods, Chet Baker, Stefano Bollani, and more.

Federico Milone’s ensemble soon became a group that regularly performs at numerous festivals and clubs across Italy, Europe, and beyond, including the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, Toronto Jazz Festival, Umbria Jazz, and many others.

With his second album, Deux Moi (Filibusta Records, 2024), he reformed the group with some of his favorite musicians, bringing together the solid experience of New Orleans native Jasen Weaver, the Udine-born pianist Emanuele Filippi, now based in New York, and Armando Luongo, one of the most respected session musicians and bandleaders in Europe.

Deux Moi is an introspective work that, through original compositions, explores a wide range of emotions, joys, sorrows, and life experiences, seen from two different perspectives of the same person.
