Alto saxophonist Jesse Davis is one of the most respected jazz musicians from New Orleans. A former student of Ellis Marsalis, he has performed with legends like Jack McDuff, Cedar Walton, Roy Hargrove, and Nicholas Payton. A skilled improviser with deep roots in swing and bebop, Davis toured with Phil Woods, Charles McPherson, and Gary Bartz in the all-star group Sax Machine. He also appeared in Robert Altman’s film Kansas City.
Paul Kirby, pianist and composer from Edinburgh, has performed with Herb Geller, Eric Alexander, Jesse Davis, and Billy Hart. A sought-after sideman and educator, he has toured internationally and teaches full-time in South Korea. His debut album If Not Now was released on Nagel Heyer Records.
Martin Zenker, a versatile bassist from Munich, has worked with Jimmy Cobb, James Moody, Barbara Morrison, and many others. He’s taught jazz in Seoul and now leads the jazz department at the Goethe Music School in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Minchan Kim is one of the most in-demand jazz drummers in Korea. A Kyung-Hee University graduate, he’s played in over 15 countries and shared the stage with Jim Snidero, Damon Brown, and Pierrick Pedron. In 2012, Jazz People Magazine named him Korea’s Rising Star Drummer.
