The best jazz tradition, harmonic and rhythmic melodies blend into the trio’s concert led by the young and talented pianist Karim Blal. The concert in two sets – and for about two hours – will bring ypu in a journey into the musical research and style of Karim, combining melody and energy thanks to the fine interplay with the rythm section withG eraud Portal on bass and Armando Luongo on drums.
Original compositions, arrangements and improvisations on classical and standards for an evening where the Parisian experience of Blal, his Roman studies with Kenny Barron and Barry Harris and collaborations – on recording sessions and live with Gregory Hutchinson – will be the main theme of a continuous exchange with the creativity and quality of the rhythm section.
Karim Blal has won the prizes for Best Group and Best Pianist at the Tuscia in jazz 2009 at the same time he started a project with the Great drummer Gregory Hutchinson with whom has recorded an album that had success. He had the possibility to exhibit himself with great artists like: Greg Hutchinson, Ari Hoenig, Hans Glawischnig, E.J. Strickland, Rémi Vignolo, Mauro Gargano, Samuel Hubert, Michel Rosciglione, Max Ionata, Giovanni Amato, Marco Loddo, Paolo Recchia Paride Furzi, and many many others…
