Susan Clynes, °1988, is een Antwerps-Australische pianiste, componist & zangeres, groeide op in een muzikale familie met een vleugelpiano aan haar zij, en nam keer op keer weer, toevlucht in de muziek. Ze was reeds aan het werk te zien in o.a. Concertgebouw Brugge (met symfonisch orkest & eigen creatie ‘Viriditas’), De Munt/La Monnaie (winnaars als RUNtoSEED van wedstrijd Songs Not Bombs met An Pierlé, Marie Daulne & Koen Gisen), De Roma (support Swallow Quintet) , op JIM TV (zowel solo als met RUNtoSEED), in De Bijloke (met eigen creatie alvioolconcerto ‘Marine Blossoms’ door Emanon Ensemble o.l.v.
Raf De Ceninck) of in New York in de ShapeShifter Lab (de club van Matthew Garisson met Ravi Coltrane’s piano). Na haar debuut ‘Sugar For A Dream’ op 17-jarige leeftijd in zelfbeheer, kwam haar officiële debuut ‘Life Is…’ (met liner-notes geschreven door Sid Smith) uit bij het New Yorkse MoonJune Records en genereerde lovende reviews wereldwijd. Werkt momenteel aan de creatie van een nieuwe plaat met haar man Antoine Guenet en hun nieuwe trio RUNtoSEED met Pierre Steenackers.

Wouter Vandenabeele is een Vlaamse violist en componist/arrangeur. Hij speelde in tal van groepen maar is vooral bekend van de folkgroep Ambrozijn en de « wereld- bigband » Olla Vogala. Van deze laatste neemt hij tevens de leiding op zich. Hij houdt zich bezig met allerlei projecten wereldwijd, zoals in Griekenland, Senegal en China. Hij is ook de dirigent van het grote jongerenorkest Transpiradansa!. Een wereldorkest dat bestaat uit vele talentvolle jongeren waarvan de gemiddelde leeftijd 20 jaar is. Ze spelen wereldse dansmuziek met strijkers, hout- en koperblazers, accordeons, harp, een stevige ritmesectie én twee zangeressen.

Susan Clynes est une compositrice, pianiste & chanteuse Anversoise-Australienne de 26 ans. Elle est la fille du compositeur et pianiste Americano-Australien Darius Albert Clynes et de la psycholinguiste et sociolinguiste Belge Annick De Houwer. Susan a grandi avec la musique et un piano à queue à ses côtés, dans lequel elle a toujours pu trouver refuge.
Elle s’est produite entre autres sur les scènes du Concertgebouw Brugge (avec sa propre création ‘Viriditas’ pour orchestre
symphonique) , La Monnaie (avec RUNtoSEED en tant que lauréats du concours ‘Songs Not Bombs’ avec An Pierlé, Marie Daulne et Koen Gisen), De Roma (première partie du Swallow Quintet), sur JIM TV (à la fois en solo et avec RUNtoSEED), du De Bijloke (avec son propre concerto pour violon alto ‘Marine Blossoms’, joué par Emanon Ensemble sous direction de Raf De Ceninck ) et à New York dans le Shapeshifter Lab (le club de Matthew Garisson avec le piano de Ravi Coltrane).
Après son premier album ‘Sugar For A Dream ‘ à l’âge de 17 en auto-production, un album enregistré entièrement live paraît sur MoonJune Records (NY) lors de trois concerts différents en février 2014. La presse est dithyrambique au sujet de cet album intitulé ‘Life Is…’, (avec liner notes écrites par Sid Smith) Elle travaille actuellement sur la création d’un nouvel album avec son mari Antoine Guenet et leur nouveau trio nommé RUNtoSEED avec Pierre Steenackers .

Wouter Vandenabeele est reconnu internationalement en tant que violoniste, arrangeur et compositeur. La productivité de ce Gantois a atteint des sommets ces dernières années.

Il a joué des concerts aux côtés du violoniste traditionnel sénégalais Issa Sow. Il a dirigé le prestigieux projet « Hadzidakis » pour les Jeux Olympiques d’Athènes 2004 (avec entre autres les chanteuses de « Madredeus ») Il a enregistré une vingtaine de CD’s et donné plusieurs centaines de représentations avec « Ambrozijn », « Olla Vogala » (son orchestre de musique du monde) et d’autres projets dont « Bared Ataï » avec lequel il a joué au Maroc et en Belgique ; « Zuiderwind » (EMI) en collaboration avec des musiciens sud-africains (concerts en Belgique et en Afrique du Sud) Il a aussi travaillé avec Steve Houben, Erik Vermeulen, Savina Yanatou, Philippe Thuriot, « Ex Tempore »…

Wouter est également apprécié comme professeur lors des stages musicaux « Flanders Ethno », ainsi qu’à l’académie d’été de Neufchâteau, aux jeunesses musicales de Chypre, et aux stages de musique Folk et Jazz organisés par Muziekmozaïek. Il dirige la classe d’ensemble de musique populaire du stage d’été de Gooik. Depuis septembre 2005, il donne cours de violon folk à l’académie de Sint-Niklaas et dirige l’orchestre de jeunes : « Transpiradansa ».

songwriting competition with RUNtoSEED performing & following masterclasses with An Pierlé, Marie Daulne & Koen Gisen), De Roma (opening act Swallow Quintet), on JIM TV (Belgian National television), in De Bijloke (with her viola concerto ‘Marine Blossoms’
performed by Emanon Ensemble lead by Raf De Ceninck) or in New York at the ShapeShifter Lab (Matthew Garisson’s club, on Ravi Coltrane’s piano). After her self-produced debut album ‘Sugar For A Dream’ at the age of 17, she made her official debut on the New York recordlabel MoonJune Records with her critically acclaimed live record called ‘Life Is…’ (liner-notes by Sid Smith). She is currently working on a new record with her husband Antoine Guenet (Univers Zero, Beautiful Badness, The Wrong Object, SH.TG.N etc…) and their new project RUNtoSEED with Pierre Steenackers.

Wouter Vandenabeele is an internationally renowned violinist, arranger and composer. His productivity and versatility have reached tops during the last decade, in which he played concerts with the Senegalese traditional violinist Issa Sow and conducted the prestigious project Hadzidakis for the Olympic Games of Athens in 2004 (participants were among others Teresa Salgueiro, Lucilla Galeazzi, Joji Hirota, Kari Bremnes and Eva De Roovere).

He also recorded more than 20 CD’s, performed hundreds of shows with Ambrozijn and his world music orchestra Olla Vogala and created the Moroccan–Flemish project Brared Ataï, with whom he played concerts in Belgium and Morocco. For the project Zuidenwind (EMI) he joined forces with South African musicians and played numerous concerts in Belgium and South Africa (a.o. in Soweto).

Wouter was invited by the city council of Ghent to compose music to accompany the fireworks at the celebration of the national holiday in
2005 and was asked to perform at the opening of the Trade Fair in Ghent. For this last project he collaborated with Steve Houben, Erik Vermeulen, Savina Yanatou, Philippe Thuriot, Ex Tempore and many others. He played at several major English festivals (among which Womex and National Theater in London) with the Senegalese band Daby Baldé. Last year he performed in Amman (Jordan), beirut (lebanon) with Macadi Nahhas and recorded an abum with Mami Kanouté and Baaba Maal.

Furthermore, he is an enthusiastic and motivational teacher who is involved in several schooling projects such as the international youth musical training course Flanders Ethno, the international summer academy of Neufchâteau, training sessions for young musicians inCyprus and Sweden, the Folk and Jazz training courses organized by Muziekmozaïek. He also used to conduct the instrumental ensemble at the annual folk music summer school in Gooik. Since September 2005, he teaches folk violin in the music academy of Sint-Niklaas and conducts the youth orchestra Transpiradansa.
