Le Jazz après shopping with Leon Newars & the Ghost band
Born in Abidjan, and after more than 20 years spent on the road between Bordeaux and New Orleans, backing up blues legends such as Allen Toussaint and Bryan Lee, Bordeaux-based musician Vinz Pollet-Villard, former leader of Mudzilla, comes back with his new band Leon Newars, anagram for New Orleans, city where he drew most of his inspiration from. Created in 2013 together with three old friends having a solid international background of gospel and soul music with their own band The Jouby’s, Leon Newars has rapidly raised interest from world stars, having opened up shows with Lenny Kravitz, Trombone Shorty and Alice Russel.
They will be stopping in Brussels to present their new EP, which beautifully combines blues, soul, hip-hop, funk and gospel. More info on:
