Flavio Perrella is an italian acoustic and electric bass player, composer, arranger and teacher. He graduated in classical music in Italy and in jazz performance and arranging at the Conservatory of Paris (CRR). He studied with Chuck Israels, Steve Coleman, Pierre Bertrand and Emil Spanyi. He has performed as a sideman with some of the today’s most acclaimed international artists such as Ernest Dawkins, Greg Burk, Baptiste Herbin, Dan Moretti, Gerardo Iacoucci, Victor Mendoza, Alison Balsom, World youth orchestra, Didier Lockwood, Tony Russo, Roberto Spadoni, Ettore Fioravanti, Enrico Zanisi and many others. As composer and arranger, Flavio has collected various experiences writing for chamber orchestra, big band, combo jazz orchestra and original soundtracks for movies, documentaries and theatre. At the moment he lives in Paris where he regularly performs with his project Nuzut trio.
