Saying Somethin’ 4tet
Saying Somethin’ quartet is composed of young musicians who met at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and who are driven by the same passion for the tradition of swing.
This project highlights the relatively unknown composers of the 50’s-60’s. Kenny Jeanney and Matteo Carola transcribe, arrange or adapt these forgotten yet rich compositions. Gigi Gryce, Thad Jones, Al Cohn and Lennie Niehaus are some examples of the composers and musicians you will discover.
The group won first prize in the Young Talent Contest Comblain- La-Tour 2012.
