Mal Waldron left Munich for Brussels in 1991. During the 90s, he played almost every week from 6 pm to 10 pm at L’Archiduc.
Malcolm Earl Waldron, known as Mal Waldron, born on August 16, 1925, in New York and died on December 2, 2002, in Brussels, was an American jazz pianist and composer. Strongly influenced by Thelonious Monk, he is mainly known for his collaborations with Billie Holiday, Eric Dolphy, and Charles Mingus.
